They were great to work with. We live in Dallas but the car we wanted was in Houston. We were able to negotiate a deal through email and text with one final call. It was a great experience. Electric Vehicles Buyers BEWARE. In the many years of buying vehicles from Sewell Cadillac or Sewell MB of W. Houston, they're now doing "typical" dealer stuff. I suspect they're under new management, or a younger generation Sewell relative. They're recommending "scheduled maintenance" work that's not required by GM. You buy an electric under the expectation that your maintenance cost is LESS than an ICE vehicle. So to help THEM generate revenue anyways, I guess they've decided to recommend Tire balancing and front-end alignments, and god knows what else at scheduled intervals. ...

I found my XT5 on Cars.com and inquired about availability. Mackenzie responded in a timely manner and, even though I never met her, she went to great lengths to give us complete information and answer every concern we had. She even arranged for us to complete the purchase through one of their dealerships near us relieving us of a 6 hour drive to get it. We’re VERY happy with our experience with Sewell, and are head over heels over our new (used) Cadillac.

Do not trust them. We agreed on the sale price. The manager did not want to sell us the car with the agreed price. I confirmed with them a few times before heading over to sign the final paperwork but the manager refused. I would recommend another dealer. Bad management.

I was very surprised (!) to see some negative reviews here. I got my car in July 2022, after searching several other dealerships in Houston area (incl. Tom Peacock and others). I was extremely frustrated by that point, since all dealerships had extra mark ups, and tried to rip me off. In my opinion there is no “Sewell Difference”. They’re just another car dealership cut from the same cloth as all the others. Which is extremely frustrating when we thought we had a deal on a pre-owned vehicle and the dealership sold a few hours before we could get there to purchase it. What can I say, I am blown away on professionalism and customer service I experienced at Sewell. I bought used (no warranty) Cadillac - great and professional buying experience with Mackenzie, no push, honest trade in value (they actually matched Carmax offer). Two weeks later went for maintenance. During the service, I found out that one of the shocks is leaking (pretty expensive part in Escalade). My last Cadillac!!! I’ve driven Cadillacs for 25 years with no plans of ever driving anything else. Until now. You pick one and they help you do whatever you need to gain financing. My son didn’t know how to do many things but Kmal helped walk him through the process. I have redacted my initial review based on a phone conversation with the sale manager. The review has increased from a 2 to 4 as the issue I was most upset about was a misunderstanding in regards to the apparent lack of active noise cancelling in the XT4. The sales manager provided documentation that clearly showed the XT4 ANC comes standard and is always on. They are in decline. Their salesmen are passive aggressive after the fact. They do little digs after the sale. The salesmen don't want to help you with immediate normal questions after the purchase. 12/17 I bought a q7 2017 and ten months later when traded to another Sewell dealership I lost over $10k. Took my '05 STS into Sewell Cadillac Houston for 60K and 70K service. Matt Mowry was my Service coordinator. He was accurate in his diagnosis of my car's problems, he accurately quoted prices for the repairs, and he kept me informed during the two days the service department had the car. Even though I work in downtown Houston, and there's a more "convenient" dealer within walking distance of my office, I researched dealers based on reputation, and the Sewell name is associated with top-notch experiences. I know that Sewell has operation in Dallas, and I'm very pleased to see them in Houston now. Sewell Cadillac is beautiful and immaculate facility, and all of the employees whom I dealt with contributed to a very good experience.
